A cat breed recognized by the South African Cat Council.
Only cats with 5 generations of pure bred Chinchilla are allowed.
Chinchilla Longhairs are smaller than Persian cats: females typically are
between 2,5 to 3,5 kilograms, whereas the Persian females range from 3,5 to 5,5
kilos. The Chinchilla Longhair male is from 3,5 to 5,5 kilograms, whilst Persian
males range from 5,5 to 8,5 kilograms.
