The Lancashire Heeler is a small

dog. It is alert,
friendly, and a pleasant companion. Standing 10 to 12 inches at the
withers and
weighing only 6 to 13 pounds, this dog has a lot of energy. It is a strong dog
with great strength and instincts, making it a great rat dog or
herder.
