Yo Quiero Chihuahuas

This gallant little dog breed is known for coining the phrase Yo Quiero Taco Bell. Who does not remember the ad that declared his love Chihuahua Taco Bell food? Small and energetic, the Chihuahua generally weighs between 2-6 pounds and towers at 6 inches to 9 inches in height. They are one of the longest living descendants of the dog, occasionally live to 20 years.

Chihuahuas are recognized by the AKC. Any color including solid, splashed and marked coat color will be accepted. Chihuahua has two coat types. One of them is fine, short, close and glass. The other is a long, soft, flat and slightly curly an undercoat. Contrary to what you expect, coated dogs shed more short than long hair. Short-haired dogs and the actual length is the same type so you’ll often find two short-and long-haired dog in the same litter. Short-haired Chihuahua needs an occasional brushing while long haired Chihuahua should be brushed every day.

In addition to family, Chihuahua in need of much attention and family time. They are very energetic and need lots of play time. Because they are active indoors, they make good apartment dogs, but they enjoy an occasional walk outside. They love to be pampered and encouraged to indulge them. Many owners find themselves buying clothes for their pampered Chihuahua puppy. Chihuahuas work best when they are the only pet in the household. They can become aggressive with other dogs and pets, even those who are bigger than they are with 100 kilograms. If you have other pets, they should be socialized with them from puppyhood. For homes with small children or children who are not well behaved, the Chihuahua is not ideal because they are quick to snap if they are selected. They make a great watchdog because they will let you know if they hear a strange noise or see a stranger. They have a tendency to be cautious with strangers. You should be aware that sometimes Molera or have a weak spot on their heads do not close until they are older and sometimes they never close at all. Be careful to avoid injury.

Mexico is considered the country of origin for the Chihuahua. Many sources believe that they have Asian ancestry as well. Their name is pronounced chi-wah-wah. They were always known as a companion dog.

Small, energetic and full of love, the Chihuahua is a loyal family pet. They are like your shadow when you’re at home and happy when they have someone home with them most of the time. They also enjoy traveling with their families. Light on the wallet when they eat and small enough to breed healthy, Chihuahua is an excellent choice for families willing to inform them of the spotlight and attention they need.
